JEOL (Europe) BV is a subsidiary of JEOL Ltd. and has been operating in the Benelux countries since 1973. In 1948, JEOL started its production of electron microscopes in Japan. JEOL’s introduction on the world market started in 1956, when the first electron microscope was shipped to Europe.

Meanwhile, JEOL has gained over 70 years of experience with scanning and transmission electron microscopes, scanning probe microscopes and mass and NMR spectrometers. In addition, JEOL has over 40 years of experience in semiconductor equipment for scientific and industrial purposes.

With its state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, JEOL offers customized solutions worldwide for the routine analysis of both organic and inorganic materials. In this way, JEOL notably contributes to a further breakthrough in nano-technological developments.

In the Benelux countries, JEOL Europe works from its offices in Brussels and Nieuw-Vennep. JEOL equipment focuses on a broad target group: chemical, physical, medical and biological laboratories, for the industry as well as the government.

An overview of JEOL’s high-quality scientific equipment:

  • Electron microscopes – transmission electron microscopes (TEM) – energy filter electron microscopes
  • Scanning electron microscopes – scanning electron microscope (SEM) – analytical scanning electron microscopes
  • Ion beam application equipment – multi-beam system – focused ion beam system – cross section polisher – ion slicer – peripheral equipment
  • Surface analysis instruments – electron probe micro-analyzers – photoelectron spectrometers (XPS) – auger microprobes
  • X-ray fluorescence spectrometers – energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometers
  • Semiconductor equipment – electron beam lithography system with variable-shaped electron beam or a spot beam lithography system
  • NMR spectrometers
  • Mass spectrometers – time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOFMS) – gas chromatograph mass spectrometer – liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer
  • ESR spectrometers
